SPECTRO’s model SLE-FPS105 is an advanced fine dust sampler, which can be used to determine
the concentration of particulate matter of size less than 2.5μ in atmosphere. It has been
specifically designed to comply with EPA reference method for determination of PM2.5, when
used without Impactor (2.5μ cut stage), the system may be optionally used for particulate
matter less than 10μ.
Ambient air enters the SLE-FPS105 system at a constant sampling rate at 1 m3/hr by a suitable
critical orifice through an omni-directional inlet designed to provide a clean aerodynamic
cut-point for particles greater than 10 microns. Particles in the air stream finer than 10
microns proceed to a second impactor that has an aerodynamic cut point at 2.5 microns. The
air sample and fine particulates exiting from the PM2.5 impactor is passed through a 47mm
diameter Teflon filter membrane that retains the FPM. Instrument has inbuilt oil free brushless
blower and dry gas meter to have direct volume of air passed through the system.
